Welcome to Canine Relate Dog Training. This service is run by me, Celia Bourne. I have more than 30 years’ experience in training dogs and have been teaching pet dog owners how to train their dogs since 1995.
I have many formal qualifications in Canine Behaviour and Training; City and Guilds, NVQ, an HNC and Foundation degree from Bishop Burton College. I was lucky to spend four years in Durham working with John Rogerson. John is one of the world's leading experts on dog training and behaviour. He lectures full- time on the subject all over the world.
I have worked with/for numerous organisations, among them; The Kennel Club, Dogs Trust, RSPCA, Guide Dogs for the Blind, DOGAID (assistance in disability), JSPCA etc.
My practical experience with dogs includes competing, training, handling and judging dogs in agility, working trials, BFA flyball, obedience, breed showing, canine biathlons, canine 3 day eventing, 'superdogs' competitions, assistance in disability etc. I have fostered and trained dogs for rescue organisations, held seminars and workshops on agility and working trials for groups in Texas, USA and also attended courses at Sue Sternberg's shelter in New York. I have been working as a dog warden for South Gloucestershire Council for eight years, dealing with stray dogs and complaints relating to dogs in the community.
